Privacy Policy
Effective Date: December 9, 2025. Last updated: August 15, 2026. Swift Warning is an app by Jag Journey, LLC.
Swift Warning is an app by Jag Journey, LLC. Jag Journey, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Swift Warning mobile application and website (together, the "App" or "Services"), including swiftwarning.com. Swift Warning was previously referred to as True Instant Fire Alerts and Fire Alerts. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information.
By using the App or website, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Phone number. Required to create an account and receive SMS one-time login codes. This is our primary sign-in method.
- Name and profile details you choose to add.
- Saved locations. Addresses, place names, map pins, and alert radius you set so we can watch those places.
- Notification choices. Alert types, quiet hours, and SMS or push preferences.
- Support messages you send through our contact form.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Location. With your permission, precise or approximate location so nearby incidents can appear on the map and trigger alerts. You can turn location off in device settings. Turning it off limits nearby alerts.
- Device data. Device type, OS version, app version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network type.
- Push tokens. Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) and Apple Push Notification service (iOS) tokens so we can deliver alerts.
- Usage and diagnostics. Screens used, feature taps, crash reports, and error logs.
- Website logs. IP address, browser, pages viewed, and security events when you visit swiftwarning.com. Cloudflare may process this at the edge.
1.3 Information from third parties
- Wildfire and incident data from WildCAD dispatch centers, NIFC, CAL FIRE, NASA FIRMS, InciWeb, and similar public sources.
- Weather and red-flag information from public weather services.
- Air quality readings from networks such as AirNow and PurpleAir.
- Map tiles and geocoding from map providers (including Google Maps where used).
2. SMS, phone numbers, and Telnyx
We use Telnyx to send SMS to the mobile number you give us. This section is written to meet common carrier and 10DLC / A2P expectations.
2.1 What messages we send
- One-time passwords and login codes so you can sign in.
- Account and security notices tied to that number (for example, a new-device sign-in notice if we add that later).
- Optional safety alerts by SMS only if you turn that option on. Push is the default alert path. SMS is not used for advertising.
Message frequency varies. Login codes are sent when you request them. Safety SMS, if enabled, depends on incidents near your saved places. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
2.2 Consent
By entering your mobile number and requesting a code, you consent to receive automated SMS from Jag Journey, LLC / Swift Warning for authentication. If you later enable SMS safety alerts, that is a separate opt-in. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. V1 of the App is free.
2.3 STOP, HELP, and opt-out
- Reply STOP to cancel SMS. We will send a one-time confirmation and then stop SMS to that number.
- Reply HELP for help text that points you to our contact form.
- You can also turn off SMS alerts in the App, or ask us to delete the number through the contact form.
- Opting out of SMS does not delete your account. Push alerts can still work if you leave them on.
2.4 We do not sell or rent mobile numbers
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties for their own marketing. Telnyx sees the number only to deliver our messages. We do not use your number for third-party promotional texts.
2.5 Telnyx as processor
Telnyx processes message content, destination number, delivery status, and related metadata under its role as our SMS provider. See Telnyx's own privacy policy for how they handle traffic on their network. We are not Telnyx. We are the message sender of record for Swift Warning.
3. How we use your information
- Create and secure your account with SMS login
- Send fire and related safety alerts for places you save
- Show a live map of incidents, air quality, and related layers
- Operate, debug, and protect the Services
- Meet legal, carrier, and store-review requirements
- Respond when you contact us through the form listed below
We do not use SMS content or your saved locations to build advertising profiles.
4. Service providers we use
We share only what each provider needs to do its job:
- Telnyx - SMS delivery and delivery receipts
- Apple (APNs) and Google (FCM / Firebase) - push notifications and, where still configured, Firebase project services
- Google AdMob - ads on the free tier. AdMob may use advertising IDs. Opt out in device ad settings or Google Ads Settings. Google partner-sites policy: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Google Maps - maps and location display where the App uses Google tiles or geocoding
- Cloudflare - DNS, TLS, and edge security for swiftwarning.com
- Our hosting and database providers - store accounts, locations, and operational logs
- Sentry - crash and error reports (device type, OS, stack traces)
- Apple App Store and Google Play - if you buy in-app subscriptions later, they process payment. We do not receive your full card number
- Pay by Jag - web premium, when launched, is billed through that service. No new card forms are collected on this website today
Public incident feeds (WildCAD, NIFC, CAL FIRE, NASA FIRMS, InciWeb, weather and air-quality networks) send us incident data, not your personal account.
5. Advertising
The free App may show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect advertising ID, coarse location, and ad interaction data. Premium, when offered, may remove ads. We do not use your phone number or SMS traffic for ad targeting.
6. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information:
- To the providers listed above, as needed to run the Services
- If required by law, court order, or a valid government request
- To protect users, the public, or the security of the Services
- In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice if required
7. Retention
Account and saved-location data stay until you delete them or we close the account. SMS delivery logs are kept only as long as needed for delivery, abuse prevention, and carrier compliance. Server and security logs rotate on a regular schedule. We keep information longer if the law requires it.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and least-privilege database roles. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for the device that receives SMS codes. Do not share login codes.
9. Your choices
- Disable location or notifications in device settings
- Reply STOP to SMS, or turn SMS alerts off in the App
- Request access, correction, or deletion through the contact form below
- Opt out of personalized ads in device or Google settings
California residents have CCPA / CPRA rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined for cross-context behavioral advertising of your phone number or saved locations. To exercise rights, use the contact form. We will verify the request.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, use the contact form and we will delete it.
11. International users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you use them from another country, your information is processed in the United States.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
